Committee Descriptions

After School Adventures
Coordinate and manage Greensview’s After School Adventures program, including securing instructors, organizing registration, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring required background checks are completed. The program typically includes Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions.
Time Commitment: Medium, throughout the school year.

Arts in Education
Help bring enriching arts experiences to Greensview students by coordinating funding and programs through the Upper Arlington Education Foundation and family contributions. This committee also oversees the annual student artwork recognition program.
Time Commitment: Low, primarily during the spring.

Dining Out Fundraisers
Plan and promote restaurant and community fundraising events where a percentage of sales is donated back to the PTO. Responsibilities include coordinating with businesses and promoting events through email, social media, and flyers.
Time Commitment: Low, spread throughout the year.

Educational Assemblies
Work with school administration to select, schedule, and coordinate educational programs and assemblies for students. Responsibilities include booking presenters, managing logistics, and coordinating event-day needs.

Display Case Coordinator
Manage the school display case by showcasing upcoming PTO events, student achievements, seasonal themes, and school activities. This role helps keep the community informed and engaged.

Election Day Bake Sales
Coordinate bake sales during Election Days by organizing donations from families, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing collection and sales activities. These events provide an important fundraising opportunity for the PTO.
Time Commitment: Low to Medium during election periods.

Field Trips
Assist teachers and staff in coordinating field trip logistics, transportation, volunteer recruitment, and funding support to ensure students have access to valuable educational experiences outside the classroom.
Time Commitment: Varies by grade level and trip schedule.

Grounds Beautification
Help maintain and enhance the appearance of school grounds through landscaping projects, seasonal plantings, and beautification efforts that create a welcoming environment for students and families.
Time Commitment: Seasonal.

Hospitality & Staff Appreciation
Plan and coordinate activities that recognize and celebrate Greensview teachers and staff throughout the year, including appreciation events, meals, treats, and Teacher Appreciation Week.
Time Commitment: Medium, with increased activity during appreciation events.

Room Parent Coordinator
Serve as a liaison between classroom teachers, parents, and the PTO. Help organize classroom volunteers, communicate important information, and support classroom activities and celebrations.

Social Media & Communications
Help keep the Greensview community informed by creating content, promoting events, sharing PTO updates, and maintaining engagement across social media platforms and communication channels.
Time Commitment: Flexible, year-round.

Spirit Wear
Coordinate the design, ordering, promotion, and distribution of Greensview spirit wear. Help create opportunities for students, staff, and families to show their school pride.
Time Commitment: Medium during sales periods.

PTO Partners & Sponsorships
Build relationships with local businesses and community partners that support Greensview through sponsorships, donations, and partnership opportunities.

Volunteer Recruitment

Website & Directory
Maintain PTO website content, update important information, support online registration systems, and help manage the family directory and digital resources.
